This pair of four-light candlesticks, made of gilded silver by the famous Boin-Taburet workshop in Paris, dates from the last quarter of the 19th century and stands 50 cm tall. With individual weights of 2,469 g and 2,491 g, the pieces perfectly exemplify the Louis XV style, with their dynamic shapes, elegant lines and fine details. The Boin-Taburet workshop, founded in 1875 by Georges Boin and Émile Taburet, was recognized for its technical and aesthetic excellence, participating in the Universal Exhibitions of 1878 and 1889 with historic creations in the Louis XIV, XV and XVI styles.
