Vasile Grigore – painter, graphic artist and teacher of the modern Romanian school

Vasile Grigore (1935–2012) was an important Romanian visual artist, known for his expressive painting, synthetic drawing, and major contribution to art education. He studied at the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, being trained by masters such as Rudolf Schweitzer-Cumpana and Samuel Mutzner.

Debuting in 1957, the artist participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and organized over 30 personal exhibitions. In 2004, he founded the "Vasile Grigore" Art Museum in Bucharest, dedicated to promoting Romanian painting and graphics.
