Tia Peltz (1923, Bucharest – 1999) was one of the most important graphic and plastic artists in Romania, distinguished by the expressive power of her drawing and the attention paid to the human figure and everyday life. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest and was an active member of the Union of Plastic Artists.
Her works are marked by a subtle and empathetic observation of urban life, simple people and social relationships. Through drawing, ink or painting, Tia Peltz authentically renders ordinary moments charged with expressiveness and discreet humor.
