Paul Gherasim (born June 25, 1925, Botești, Suceava – died August 3, 2016, Bucharest) was a Romanian painter known for the fusion of spirituality and tradition in his works. He studied drawing with the painter Nicolae Darascu and painting with Jean Alexandru Steriade, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, between 1943 and 1947. Starting in 1946, he participated in numerous art exhibitions, both personal and collective.

His works are inspired by Orthodox spirituality and Romanian tradition, reflecting influences from popular culture and beliefs. Through his art, Gherasim challenges viewers to reflect on the connections between people, tradition, and the world around them.
