Horea Pastina – a master of silence and light in Romanian painting
Horea Pastina (b. 1946, Alba Iulia) is one of the most prominent figures of Romanian contemporary art. A graduate of the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, born in 1970, he became known for his deeply lyrical, interiorized pictorial language, attentive to everyday detail.
His painting is a form of plastic meditation – still life, the interior of the room, the windows, the light – all are treated with simplicity, but with a subtle poetic charge. The artist creates silent, almost sacred compositions that invite introspection and tranquility.
