Workshop Joseph Karl Klinkosch, Vienna, 1872-1888

Hand mirror with tray in neoclassical style, made in the Viennese workshop of Joseph Carl Klinkosch. Both the mirror and the tray have simple oval shapes and decoration with antique palmette friezes.

Joseph Carl Klinkosch (born 1822, master from 1843, ennobled 1879, died 1888). From 1869, sole owner of the fine silverware manufacture established by his father, Carl Klinkosch, together with Stephan Mayerhofer, in 1830. The firm was a supplier to the Austrian Imperial Court.
